position definition: early in the process, a thorough understanding of the position and its responsibilities is secured, including reporting relationships, staff size and type, scope of responsibility, level of authority, goals and critical problems involved. we also identify the requirements necessary for satisfactory performance in the position, such as experience, special skills, education, personality profile and management style. clients often use our expertise to help formulate the requirements of their positions and structure the compensation package necessary to attract the desired caliber of candidate.
candidate screening: we thoroughly interview high-potential candidates to identify and understand their past experience and future preferences, including capabilities, accomplishments, strengths and limitations. preliminary reference checks are made at this time. we seek to interpret the interests and goals of these candidates in a way that responds to more than tactical job descriptions and compensation issues. until an introduction is made, the company’s identity and the position requirements are kept confidential to protect the organization’s exposure and ensure that the candidates’ answers to key questions accurately represent their capabilities and are not influenced by the client’s identity.
client introduction: the strongest candidates who meet the position requirements are selected for presentation to the client. detailed resumes are prepared, outlining each candidate’s background, abilities and accomplishments. when appropriate, we provide recommendations on whom we feel is best suited for the position and why. following the initial client-candidate interview, a thorough, confidential review is made of the leading candidate’s background and performance record, with copies provided to the client.
